From March 3-6, 2026, the École Bilingue de Berkeley will host the inaugural edition of EB Cinéma Week, a vibrant new film festival celebrating Francophone culture and emerging international filmmakers.
Designed as both an educational experience for students and a cultural offering for the broader Bay Area community, EB Cinéma Week brings together cinema, language, and dialogue in a dynamic, immersive format. Through public screenings, student-focused sessions, and thoughtful discussions, the festival positions film as a powerful bridge between language, culture and creative expression.
While opening and closing nights are open to the public, EB Cinéma Week also dedicates significant programming to its students through the week. Under the artistic direction of Justine Lévêque, the week-long program highlights bold storytelling, diverse voices, and socially resonant themes — from identity and migration to freedom, memory, and resilience.
Don’t miss this vibrant celebration of Francophone film and emerging international talent — a unique cultural experience in the heart of Berkeley!
