In partnership with the Consulates of San Francisco and Los Angeles, MerciSF invites you to celebrate Francophonie!
The “Grand Quiz de la Francophonie” is an online quiz suitable for all age groups. It is jointly designed and organized by the French consulates in San Francisco and Los Angeles. This year, the quiz has been improved with the involvement of the diplomatic representations of Luxembourg and Belgium in San Francisco, the General Delegation of Quebec in Los Angeles, and the Alliance Française of San Francisco
It will take place online on Zoom and is open to participants from the constituencies of San Francisco and Los Angeles and dedicated to French-speaking culture and current events.

There will be prizes to be won with the Belgian owned Marché Pop-Up as well as gourmet products including special edition Pierre Hermé x Villa Albertine macarons, Villa Albertine publications and tote bags, comic books as well as passes to cultural activities including hours of French lessons.
Francophonie refers to the community of people and countries who speak French as their first or second language, as well as those who have a cultural and historical connection to the French language. It includes approximately 300 million people worldwide, who are spread across five continents. The Francophonie also encompasses a range of institutions and organizations, such as the International Organization of La Francophonie, which promote the use of the French language and the development of Francophone culture and values. The Francophonie serves as a platform for dialogue, cooperation, and cultural exchange among its members.
