After nearly five years of growing across two campuses with the addition of our middle school, the French American School of Silicon Valley is delighted to begin a new chapter: bringing our entire school community together again on one campus in Sunnyvale.
This is more than a change of address. It is a moment to celebrate, and an intentional investment in what has always made FASSV special: a human-sized school where relationships matter, every child is known and learning flourishes within a vibrant bilingual and bicultural community.
As we reunite our early childhood, elementary, and middle school students, we are creating a campus designed around the developmental needs of students at every age. Distinct learning environments honor the unique needs of students at each stage from our youngest learners through middle school. Each group benefits from spaces that feel their own while creating greater opportunities to learn, connect, and grow together.
For our youngest learners, the new early childhood building is a particularly exciting addition. At its heart is a custom-designed play yard created to inspire imagination, collaboration, and nature play. With movement, sensory exploration, and discovery woven into the environment, our youngest students have space to wonder, create, experiment, and learn through play.
While the spaces are thoughtfully designed for different stages of childhood, the campus is designed to bring people together. A single campus means more opportunities for students of different ages to see one another and build relationships, for faculty and staff to collaborate, and for families to connect as part of one shared community. It is a strategic step that strengthens what is central to the FASSV experience.
Our community is wonderfully international, with a plethora of nationalities and linguistic identities represented. Our bilingual and bicultural institutional identity teaches our students to see the world through multiple perspectives, and bringing our school together creates even more opportunities for those connections to flourish.
So, as we return to one campus, we are not simply going back to where we began. We are bringing with us all that we have learned and built over the past five years while creating space for what comes next. We are creating a place where our students can grow across every stage of their journey, where families can build lasting connections, and where our FASSV community can feel more connected than ever.
We are excited to open this next chapter ensemble-together- and to welcome our families, students, faculty and staff to our renewed home in Sunnyvale.
