The countdown is officially on. When FIFA World Cup 2026 arrives in the Bay Area in two weeks, the region won’t just host matches in Santa Clara, it will transform into one giant soccer festival stretching from San Francisco to San Jose, Oakland, Walnut Creek, Redwood City, and beyond.
And the best part? You won’t need a stadium ticket to join the excitement.
For more than a month, giant screens, waterfront fan zones, outdoor festivals, beer gardens, DJs, and neighborhood watch parties will bring the World Cup atmosphere to every corner of the Bay Area.
Even better: nearly all of these events (full list here) will be free, giving everyone a chance to celebrate the beautiful game and the global spirit that comes with it.
