Film Synopsis

Directed by Pierre De Parscau and produced by Les Gens Bien Production & Plastic Odyssey, Pacific Mission follows the unprecedented challenge undertaken by the Plastic Odyssey crew in the heart of the Pacific Ocean: to extract and recycle over 10 metric tons (22,000 pounds) of plastic waste piled up along the shores of Henderson Island—a remote 15-square-mile atoll holding the unfortunate record for the highest density of plastic debris in the world. This “impossible mission” is a race to protect nature, raise global awareness about the plastic crisis, and empower the local Pitcairn Island communities to transform waste into building materials.

Special Guest – Simon Bernard, Co-Founder of Plastic Odyssey

Fresh off the expedition, Simon Bernard, co-founder and CEO of Plastic Odyssey, will share exclusive behind-the-scenes insights from the mission to Henderson Island — the challenges, surprises, and the powerful human stories at the heart of this journey.

A former merchant navy officer turned environmental entrepreneur, Simon leads Plastic Odyssey’s global movement to tackle plastic pollution with low-tech, community-driven innovation. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the expedition’s leaders and visionaries.
