This May, Petits Pas studio presents Through The Dark, its annual recital — an original dance and theater experience by Virginie Personne and Marie Walburg.
Performed on May 17 & 18 at the Brava Theater in San Francisco, the show invites audiences on a powerful journey of hope and courage through the expressive language of dance and theater.
In a world stripped of color by a mad scientist, a group of children awakens to find themselves in a place where shadows reign and light is nowhere to be found. But within each of them lies a hidden strength — a spark that drives them to seek the colors that have been stolen.
Through moments of beauty, resilience, and self-discovery, they embark on a journey that is both an exploration of the soul and a fight to reclaim what’s been lost. The power of will and human connection guides them as they navigate a world devoid of emotion, learning that even in the darkest times, light can still be found.
“Through the Dark” is a tale of hope, courage, and the unwavering belief that the human spirit can always rediscover its true colors.
