FOG Design+Art, aka FOG FAIR an annual art fair in San Francisco, is set to celebrate its tenth edition in 2024 with an exciting expansion.
The fair, held at Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture from January 18 to 21, 2024, will introduce FOG FOCUS, an invitational platform aimed at showcasing the works of young and underrepresented artists. Housed in the historic Pier 2 building, formerly the San Francisco Arts Institute, FOG FOCUS pays homage to the institute’s legacy as a nurturing ground for emerging artists. The fair’s theme, “A Love Letter to San Francisco,” underscores the cultural vibrancy and vitality of the region, permeating various aspects of the event, from entryway installations to the newly introduced FOG FOCUS.
FOG FOCUS will feature nine galleries – presenting solo exhibitions by emerging artists – among which CRÈVECOEUR , straight from Paris, oui oui, and the only gallery from overseas in this new section! Cocorico!
FOG FAIR, held in the Pier 3 building next door, features 46 exhibitors (full list here) . We are pleased to report that French galerie Lebreton is present again this year, presenting the Vallauris art. Lebreton used to have a gallery in San Francisco for 20 years and has now relocated in Europe. Visit their space and talk to André Lebreton who will be delighted to talk to you about the artists he presents.
Lebreton presents a distinguished and unique selection of artist-designed furniture and mid-twentieth century ceramics, works of art and sculptures by major French and European modern and post-war artists. He could spend hours talking about Suzanne Ramié and her collaboration with Picasso fro instance.
The fair’s Preview Gala on January 17, benefiting the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), kicked off the celebrations, highlighting FOG’s commitment to supporting the city’s artistic ecosystem.
Overall, FOG Design+Art’s tenth anniversary promises to be a vibrant celebration of San Francisco’s artistic activity and the diverse talent it continues to nurture.
