The French basketball player Victor Wembanyama, aged 19, made history by being selected as the first overall pick in the NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs in June 2023.
This is a significant moment for French basketball, as Wembanyama, aka “Wemby,” is considered the biggest global talent since LeBron James, who was drafted exactly 20 years earlier.
The 2.24 meters tall player is renowned for his exceptional skills, particularly in dribbling and long-range shooting.
This Friday, November 24th, will be the opportunity to see Wemby in action against the Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
This is the opportunity for the young prodigy to go up against the local star and double MVP, Stephen Curry, who is displaying phenomenal form early in the season.
