Co-presented by Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley, the renowned Champs Elysées Film Festival will be in Berkeley on its U.S. tour, with two days of screenings of short, medium and feature-length films at the EB Lower School Campus and neighboring Meyer Sound’s Pearson Theater.

Initiated in the Bay Area by the Théâtre du Lycée Français, the Champs Elysées Film Festival – which takes place every June in Paris – is expanding into the Bay Area and will present films for two evenings in a row at the Pearson Theater next door to the Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley.

On Thursday November 2nd, you’ll be able to see 4 short films (in French with English subtitles) and on Friday November 3, the documentary On the Edge (Etat Limite), which has already won an award in Denmark.

On Friday November 3rd, screening will be followed by a cocktail in the presence of Justine Lévêque, the Festival’s artistic director.

Founded in 2012 by producer, distributor and exhibitor Sophie Dulac, the Champs Élysées Film Festival is the must-attend event for discovering the best of French and American independent cinema. The festival aims to be a bridge between French and American cinematographies, as well as a platform for encounters between young filmmakers and musicians. Every year in June, the festival takes place in all the cinemas along the world’s most beautiful avenue, with a selection of French and American films in competition, previews, guests of honor and a special musical program.
