Every year, the European Heritage Days give the general public the opportunity to visit national and European heritage sites, and to discover places and buildings that are usually closed to the public or rarely visited, through original events, unusual tours and exceptional openings.

Inspired by the European Heritage Days, and organized by L’Esprit San Francisco, La Fête du Patrimoine 2023 in San Francisco will offer participants the opportunity to push open the doors of a place usually closed to the public: a magnificent 140-year-old Victorian house in the Hayes Valley district.

This “urban villa”, with its remarkable architecture and exceptional state of preservation, has had only five owners since it was built, including a French family who arrived in California in the mid-19th century during the gold rush. The couple of collectors who currently live here have restored the house in the purest Victorian style, giving us the rare pleasure of evoking the domestic life of the last century and admiring objets d’art and furniture, while evoking the changes that have taken place in society and in the city of San Francisco over the last century and a half.

Don’t miss this unique event in San Francisco!

Date: Saturday and Sunday, September 10-11, 2.30pm-4pm
Location: 700 Hayes St, San Francisco
