The 8th edition of the French American Business Awards (FABA), organized by the French-American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco (FACCSF) and chaired by its Executive Director Anne-Emmanuelle de Boysson, took place on June 1st 2023 at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco, with the special presence of Frédéric Jung, Consul General of France in San Francisco  and in front of an assembly of 200 representatives of the Franco-American business community.

The French American Business Awards is the FACCSF’s flagship event of the year and an exceptional ceremony recognizing the best French-American companies, entrepreneurs, and executives based in the Bay Area, for their outstanding results and lasting performance in management and leadership.

During his opening speech, the Consul General of France underlined the dynamism of the ecosystem of French companies in the U.S. market. Indeed, French companies shine in many sectors such as Technology, Medicine, Food and Wine, or Sustainability, and are the 4th foreign employers in California.

For this 8th edition of FABA, 10 companies and/or personalities were rewarded. You can find the complete photo gallery of the ceremony on this link.

Currently, 1 in 5 surgeries end in postoperative complications, resulting in more than 22 million people experiencing complications every year in the US and EU alone. Despite this significant burden, the current approach to assess a patient’s fitness for surgery relies on surgeons’ intuition, as current clinical scales don’t reach sufficient performance. With significantly better predictive performance than existing products and scales, PreCyte Surgical identifies patients at risk for postoperative complications.
For the first time, the Start Up of the Year category wins both Public and Jury’s award (which are 2 separate committees)
