We already told you about Khamsa, this Moroccan restaurant on the corner of 15th St and South Van Ness… Rejoice because the owners are opening a second location.
This new restaurant L’Mida is located in the Marina district. L’Mida means the small round table around which the family gathers to share the daily meals. And L’Mida is indeed a family story with mother and daughter in the kitchen to prepare traditional cuisine, and the son Adil, dedicated to the operations.
On the menu, traditional Moroccan starters such as Harira, and pastilla and then traditional Laacha such as couscous, beef tagine, Berber tagine… The two “signature” dishes not to be missed are pastilla with duck and roast chicken.
L’Mida is open every day for dinner and also during the day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a lighter service at the bar.
We haven’t tested it yet, but based on our experience at Khamsa, we think we can recommend it to you.
