The Compagnie Carmina returns with a squeaky comedy For No Good Reason (Pour un oui, pour un non) by Nathalie Sarraute. Performed more than 600 times since it was staged in 1986, this play analyses the unspoken aspects of our relationships under the microscope and reveals with fierce humor a humanity in which we are forced to recognize ourselves.

It revolves around a suspended dialogue and this stoppage that calls into question the meaning of this conversation. Speech is not only a text, but it is also a human gesture.

Presented at the Alliance Française de San Francisco (1345 Bush Street), the play will be performed six times in French – No English subtitles.
With Marion Lovinger, Benoît Monin, and Jonathan Passmore, set by Cécile Picard and directed by Pascale Couderc.

Dates: November 11 to December 3, 2022
Address: Alliance Française de San Francisco -1345 Bush Street, San Francisco
