Going back to Bar Fluxus, it’s like catching up with an old friend that would have been away for too long! You missed its presence, but when you finally regroup, the conversation starts again where you left it.
This was our feeling when we met Ludovic Racinet, the French native who owns Bar Fluxus, as he gave us a preview of the place.
If you are an old-timer, no worries, all you liked is still there: the long engaging curvy bar, the warm colors on the walls, but the place has been nicely upgraded with more seating, and everything has a fresh feeling. Even a vestaboard has been added to the decor to let clients exchange messages while on-site… but we can’t tell more; what we can say is that it’s pretty unique and should create fun situations.
The menu shows a solid beers selection, many cocktails, and the wines list has been extended with 20+ French wines on top of the local wines. Should we mention a couple of different Pastis for those who feel nostalgic after a Summer in Provence?
Food-wise, clientele should appreciate the snacking menu composed of yummy cheese plates, charcuterie boards, and organic mixed nuts, all sourced with local suppliers.
After 18 months of forced closure, Ludo wanted to move forward, and a new terrace was added in Harlan place to facilitate mingling and enjoy the sun at happy hour, you can even play ping-pong!
Ludo Racinet is a seasoned entrepreneur on the San Francisco hospitality scene and wants to leverage this reopening to bring a kick to the Bar Fluxus experience. He has programmed regular nights with stand-up comedians, karaoke, and more. Bar Fluxus has a unique flavor and will be a destination place again.

Detailed hours: from 4 pm to 2 am Wednesday through Sunday.
Karaoke is ongoing from 9 pm to 1:30 am.
From September 18, Stand-up Comedy shows will be offered between 6 pm to 10 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and remain on the calendar every weekend.* All participants must be fully vaccinated and be able to present proof (by card, phone or QR code). Mask is mandatory inside.
