Since June 16, 2021, France has relaxed the conditions for entry from the United States considered to be a “Green” country concerning Covid 19.

  • No more mandatory PCR or antigen testing for fully vaccinated people who can prove that they have received all Pfizer or Moderna doses injected for more than 2 weeks, and for people who can justify a Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) vaccine injected for more than 4 weeks.
  • If you are not fully vaccinated according to the above conditions, a Negative PCR test of fewer than 72 hours or a negative antigen test is mandatory to enter France.
  • The measures applicable to vaccinated parents also apply to their accompanying minor children, whether or not they are vaccinated. However, minors between 11 and 18 years old must test negative if they are not vaccinated.

In all cases, vaccinated or not, it is necessary to present a duly completed sworn certificate which can be found on the website of the Ministry of the Interior. In addition, the usual travel restrictions apply (visas, length of stay, etc.).

Whatever your place of departure, if you show symptoms of COVID-19 when you arrive in France, you will be quarantined or placed and kept in isolation.

Visit the website of the Consulate General of France in San Francisco for all the details.
