This lecture is a journey to the cathedral of Chartres with a first stop to the Chateau de Maintenon best known as being the private residence of the second spouse of Louis XIV, Madame de Maintenon.
Then, Celine will take you to Chartres where this architectural marvel stood for 1,000 years and became a major pilgrimage site.
Let’s discover the cathedral’s Gothic beauty, vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, rose windows, flying buttresses, labyrinth, and the history of the veil worn by Mary at the nativity.
