Where to Find a Christmas Buche in San Francisco Bay Area?

Even if Christmas will have a different flavor this year, we will still find the Buche de Noel (aka Yule log) in San Francisco bay area! The French pastry chefs put their hearts into it and also inspired American bakeries. Here is a list of where to find the buche this year.

In San Francisco

One65 – At One65, the buche comes in 3 flavors and 2 size of your choice. Chocolate, Vanilla, Caramel Praliné / Mont Blanc with chestnut cream and blackcurrant purée / Raspberry roulade with sponge cake. Available in 6 inches ($55) or 8 inches ($70). Amélie wine Bar in Fairfax – on top of their Holiday Menu, Amélie Fairfax will offer 6 inches Bûches, chocolate flavor for 35$. Available for pre-order starting now and before Monday Dec. 21st to picked up on Dec 23rd or 24th.

In the Peninsula

Maison Alyzée in Mountain View – Available for 4/6 people ($50), 6/8 people ($66) or 8/10 people ($82), the bûches are also available in 3 different flavors: vanilla/caramel, chocolate or exotic fruits. Available for pre-order for pick up/delivery starting December 16 until Dec 31. A few buches will be available in store on 23 &24 dec. for those who missed the deadline, with also a mini-version for 2. Open everyday except Dec 25th.
