To make summer a little more festive, while respecting Covid guidelines, the iconic team of the Church of 8 Wheels / Skate Patrol led by David Miles Jr is organizing 2 free Roller Disco events on Friday evenings in Golden Gate Park this summer.
For a nomadic Roller Disco Friday evening: meet at 7 p.m. on the esplanade where roller disco takes place on Sundays. Open to all and free, you will go for a ride following one of the guides who will take you through the park, which is now closed to cars. Please note this is not a class but a ride … like the Paris Roller Fridays …
For a dancing Roller Disco evening: same place where you will stay to groove on your wheels. Dance atmosphere guaranteed with lights and big funk / soul sound and cool outfits!
Come with your rollerskates, or else you can buy the new Church of 8 Wheels limited edition rollerskates in advance, click here (which may become collector’s items)
So get on your wheels, WEAR YOUR MASK and keep your distance!
And don’t forget that the fine team also occupies the field every Sunday from noon. Come with the family, have a picnic there, don’t miss the Thriller performance at 3 p.m and be part of it. You have to come with your roller skates. This is so San Francisco !!
Golden Gate Park – Kennedy Drive at 6th Avenue enter the park and follow the sound!
