Mehdi Lazar, director of the “Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley” is a specialist in the globalization of higher education. He was particularly interested in the example of Qatar and how this small country fits into the economy of the internationalization of education, with many prestigious universities (NYU, Columbia, but also Science Po and others) opening campuses in different regions of the world.

Mehdi Lazar has written two books in French on the subject:
– Espace et histoire de l’université américaine : De Bologne à Harvard, Préface d’Emmanuel Caulier, Paris, éd. L’Harmattan, Juin 2013.
