San Francisco never misses an opportunity to party and dress up. SantaCon (name that makes us laugh in French), is an opportunity for 10,000 people to wear his/her Santa or elf outfit or, and to wander the streets and bars of the city for a whole Saturday afternoon.
This free event will start at around noon on Union Square with a performance of the Dodecaphonics a cappella group from Dartmouth College. It will then continue with the usual “pub crawl” where thousands of Santa invade places where they can warm up, and ranging from a private party to another.

Attention, the gathering is free but is backed by a good cause: a collection of toys for the children of the firefighters of San Francisco.
Bring a new packaged toy to drop off at Union Square.
