The 2019 FACCSF fundraiser gala has demonstrated one more time the vitality and the strength of the French-American business partnership.
You take the stunning San Francisco City Hall, add +800 attendees, French and American food and wine vendors, and you have the recipe for LA SOIREE, the annual fundraiser of the French-American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco. The 2019 edition took place last Friday and did not disappoint!
Sponsored by Salesforce, Bank of The West, Air France, French Bee, Calparrio, Planisware, LNB Accounting, the event gave the opportunity for all attendees to taste the best of the French finger food with catering services les Cookettes, charcuterie with Fabrique Delices, of course cheese from French Cheeses Marin and la Fromagerie, desserts from Galaxy Desserts, chocolates from Fève and macaroons from Woops.
The open bar was definitely on par with the food selection; many wineries from Napa and Sonoma responded positively attending the event and offering Champagne, sparkling wines and wines tasting to the audience.
In parallel, a VIP dinner put together by Chef Claude Le Tohic et Chef Yannick Dumonceau for One65, Chef Roland Passot for La Folie, Chef Gérald Hirigoyen for Piperade, Chef Nico for Nico, Chef Juan Contreras for Atelier Crenn and Chef John Chacon for Vineyard Table… was served to a select audience.
The evening would have not been 100% French without a fashion show! And to be in line with the theme of the whole evening, we assisted to a great defile of pre-loved women evening gowns leveraging the City Hall staircase as the catwalk.
The defile has been put together by Les Parisiennes-SF and the dance studio Petits Pas. See video.
Unfortunately, we didn’t win the raffle but some lucky attendees did and won:
- two round trips SFO-Tahiti and two round trips SFO-Paris offered by French Bee,
- two round trips SFO-Paris offered by Air France,
- and one stay of seven nights at Club Med for two, flights included offered by Calparrio Travel Services.
