On Make Music Day 2019 (Fête de la Musique), a French traditional day dedicated to celebrate music, Barrio Manouche releases its new single La Foule. Barrio Manouche gives us a revisited version of the mythical tune sung by Edith Piaf, infusing it with an afro-beat rhythm on the voice of Magali Sancartier.

Barrio Manouche is a Gypsy Jazz / Flamenco Fusion group with multiple influences. They are San Francisco based but the eight musicians/dancers are coming from diverse backgrounds: Spain, France, Quebec, Brazil, Colombia, California… as a real definition of World Music!
Founded by Javi Jimenez – guitar and voice, Alex Zelnick – guitar, Luis Jiménez – cajón and percussion, Gary Johnson – bass, Cyril Guiraud – saxophones and caxixi, Magali Sanscartier – violin, voice and percussion, Fanny Ara – dance, palmas, castanets, Emaye Ama Mizani – dance and percussion.

The single La Foule was produced by the DoubleOone label and recorded during one of their public sessions. Go to Barrio Manouche to listen to la Foule and download this new version just as uplifting as the original.

You can also go to their concert in Berkeley on June 22nd
