An actress is going to play Barbara, the famous French singer, and the shooting is about to start. She works on her character, the voice, the songs, the music sheets, the moves, the knitting, the scenes to learn, it grows, it becomes part of her. The director is working too: he meets people, goes through the archives, the music, and lets himself get submerged by her.
