Taxis
There are many taxi companies are in San Francisco and we let you discover them on the website of the SFMTA. It will cost you about $50 to get from SFO or OAK Airport to downtown San Francisco. A tip of 15% is expected for a good level of service.
Ride Sharing
You will find Uber and Lyft at all airports. If you are already an Uber customer in France, your app will normally work when you disembark from the plane. Of course you must have activated your mobile data roaming option or be on Wi-Fi.
Note carefully where your Uber or Lyft driver will wait for you as the gate number will change according to your terminal. Drivers can’t park at the arrivals level and will usually wait for you at the departures level.
Check the anticipated price of your ride or you might have surprises.
Are you picking up someone at the airport with your own car?
Use the “cell phone lot”, a parking located 5 minutes away from the terminals. As soon as the person that you intend to pick up calls you, you can drive to the terminal at the meeting point you both determine.
Only constraint, you must stay in your car, and you will find neither toilet nor coffee but parking is free!
